  • *****

  • *****

Great food and company. Great service. Awesome bbq oysters

  • *****

Conway Pub wouldn't be nearly as great if it wasn't for Sara. She always has a smile on her face, greets you the second you walk in and makes it a priority to make sure you have everything you could want or need. She makes a killer vodka press and makes the atmosphere more than enjoyable every single time we're in there (basically every time she's working). There's nowhere else I'd rather go after a long day than to the Conway to see her sweet face

My Father and I are always looking for a great little place that has great food and a great staff.....this is the place that we visit quite frequently.

  • *****

Fun pub and karaoke spot in Conway. The only pub in Conway. Fried food and cheap beer.

  • *****

Love this place. My bartender tori was amazing! She went above and beyond to help me! Great prices, great food, great people!

  • *****

Friendly, local and fun with terrific burgers This pace is in the heart of the tiny, quirky town of Conway and both the town and the pub are well worth a visit.

  • *****

This is my favorite watering hole around! Great food, outstanding atmosphere, family friendly with killer service every time! Tori and Josie are phenomenal bartenders always on point! Highly recommend the conway pub!

  • *****

One of my favorite all time places to go with friends especially in the summer time with the grilled oysters on the half shell with a bloody beer. Cute friendly staff as well.

  • *****

Nobody does oysters better! And the beer is ice cold!

  • *****

Interesting atmosphere. It's off the beaten track but wow the food is all made with awesomeness! Both of us went with the oyster basket and these are golden brown and plump. The sauces (tartar and seafood cocktail) taste homemade. The coleslaw is super tasty and just the right amount of creamy and crunchy. The fries are not soggy at all.

  • *****

Have been there a few times over the years. Always good food and service. Went there on Saturday with a group of 36 people. Yep 36. We had a great time. I had Halibut and chips it was very good. Everyone enjoyed what they ordered. And considering the size of our group the service was great.

  • *****

We ordered halibut and chips and a beer, we were served quickly even though it was during NFL playoffs, the food came out quick and the fish batter was perfect. Not greasy or soggy, it was crispy and the fish was flakey. The pub is what it is, a pub. It's not a fine dining establishment, so if you are expecting that, you may be disappointed. Very pleased with everything!! Would come back.

  • *****

The Conway Pub is a place where time has stopped.

The old school atmosphere is nothing fancy, with a lot of homemade pictures, big screen TV and great food!

The halibut and fries are wonderful! So if you want to dine in the comfort of your camo, this is the to do it. ????

  • *****

the oysters, the history, the burgers, nice people. nice service.I've loved this place for 25 years.

  • *****

The pan fried oysters are the best. I've had them a half dozen times and they never disappoint.

My family has been eating here for years. It's a great hole-in-the-wall with comfortable booths, and a live football games. The staff is down to earth and friendly. The burgers are delicious and the fries golden brown. There's a good selection of beer and drinks. The pan fried oysters are by far the star of the show.

They oysters coated with a tasty, crispy breading, and fried to perfection. They're fresh and full of flavor. Drop a little lemon or tarter on top and pop them in your mouth. Your taste buds will thank you.

  • *****

Love this place. The ladies behind the bar are always awesome and friendly, and the beer is always good. The food is really hit or miss. I cant find the picture but i ordered a grilled chicken burger and received what i honestly thought was the smallest chicken breast I've ever seen. Maybe, MAYBE took up 1/3 of the bun.

  • *****

Personally like this place. Want local? This is local. Good bar food, music seems to always be pumping. A lot of bikers visit this place so try not to bump their bikes :) always a mellow crowd when I visit. Antique shops surround the place, and a nice drive. Would recommend for a visit and sampling of decent bar food

  • *****

Great little dive getaway. Did not have a burger, regretting it after hearing from friends how good they are.

  • *****

Great Food! Fun Atmosphere! Conway is a charming little town!

  • *****

This is a nice pub to enjoy music while enjoying a wonderful side of sweet potato fries and tots made to perfection! Bring a bud!

  • *****

Friendly, fresh clams, oysters and the burgers are great!

  • *****

We had pan fried oysters. They were delicious! Perfectly cooked, crunchy coating on sweet creamy oysters and reasonably priced. Yum! Warm welcome, great service! We will be back!

  • *****

Love this small town pub and eatry. Food was tremendous staff went out of way to welcome everyone there. Can't wait for my next visit!

  • *****

Great food and the service was stellar. They were busy and came in with little kids but the server was super accomodating. She was running herself ragged with some regular bar patrons but still kept on top of it all. Fish and chips were nice and crisp, not greasy and the burgers were huge. We'll be back!

  • *****

Best oysters y'all ever get anywhere

  • *****

This place was great! The bartenders are very nice also the food is great. This place is pretty cool nice outside patio to hangout eat and socialize. This place isnt fancy or snobby. I like that it's old rough around the edges it total DIVE BAR in the best comfortable way. I wouldnt come here if you're looking for an artisan cocktail and fancy decor. It's the Pub, you're gonna get a good strong drink and good Pub Food. We had Seafood ... yummers good eats.... goodtimes.

  • *****

Good food and great bloody Mary and biscuits and gravy

  • *****

Best Oysters I've ever had... and the atmosphere was pretty great too ;) would definitely recommend Conway Pub.

  • *****

Food tastes great but the steep rise in prices over the past few years, with no increase in quality or quantity, doesn't sit well. In 5 years, a pitcher of Bud Lite went from $7.50 to $15, the Wednesday Waldo Special from $7.99 to $10.99, Service is always great, prompt and friendly. I go there once or twice a month. Putting a little more food on the plate might make a patron feel better about the increased costs, Potatoes are cheap as are many veggies and only add pennies to a plate of food. No reason to be cheap about it and more food on the plate creates more favorable impression. Overall, I will still go there and enjoy the atmosphere, friendly service and the small amount of food served at the higher prices.

  • *****

LOVE, LOVE, LOVE this place! Great local atmosphere, cold beer, good drinks and better oysters! I recommend the oysters.
The blue Burger is my go to for this place, unbelievable....????

  • *****

I have been eating here for years. The foods always great and the atmosphere is worth checking out.

  • *****

We favorite Conway Pud for the pan fried oysters and their awesome hamburgers. Oh, Mac&Jac's too :)
Folks are friendly and offer terrific service at reasonable pricing.

  • *****

We have been here several times. We enjoy the outdoor patio on a nice warm day, and the indoor seating when the weather is less than lovely.
The fried oysters are fantastic. Ordered by the dozen, they come on a bed of shredded lettuce. In a basket, they come with fries. They are always plump, fresh, and perfectly cooked.

This last visit, we had a real treat...grilled oysters. Grilled, split, served on the shell with a sauce made from worchestershire, garlic, and other deliciousness, they were huge and tasty. I'll be back for more of those!

We enjoy the relaxed atmosphere. Sunday nights they have live music, and the one Sunday we were there, the band was very good, although a bit too loud.

We have never been disappointed with the food here, and have never had bad service. Yes, sometimes on a busy day, it is a bit slow, but never bad.

    We'll be back again!

  • *****

Oyster burger This is a family tradition! Don't forget to check out the Fish next door. Who knew?

  • *****

Nice pub, sat out on patio and had drinks and oysters which were good, service was a bit slow but overall a nice place and time

  • *****

World class OYSYERS???? live music on Saturday night ???????????? my oh my heaven in earth. Friendly staff and locally owned.

  • *****

We love this place. We ride and stop ever year during the oyster run. Supper fun. Love the grilled oysters on the weekend.

  • *****

Great reubon, chili cheese fries are amazing. Nice place, bigger than I expected, and they have a patio. Highly recommended.

  • *****

Great food, cold beer, friendly people

  • *****

Great oysters every time. Super fresh and hot to your table. An oyster basket and a Mac n' Jack.....Ahh ..What more could you want?

  • *****

Great oysters, friendly service, decent beer selection. Outdoor seating with laid back clientele.

  • *****

The Conway Pub looked like a fun little dive bar and...it is a fun little dive bar. Lots of table seating and TVs for sports. It looked like a place that would have good food but we just stopped in for a drink. Next time we're gallivanting around Skagit County we'll definitely stop back in and try something from the menu.

  • *****

A friend and I stopped in for lunch, had never been here before, But the place was great, good atmosphere and good food.
More so, our server, Tamra was effing amazing! Seriously, she treated us so good and really made our time there great. I would definitely come back again, but will be sure it is on a day Tamra is in!

If you're thinking about stopping by, do it and ask for Tamra! :)

  • *****

Old time "bar" & cafe... quaint, excellent welcoming service with very good food! The seafood is their specialty, especially the fried oysters...

  • *****

Last night was first night here; we came because they were featuring our favorite band, The Replayzmentz. They bill themselves as having the best fried oysters west of the Missippi. I haven't been everywhere (yet), but I think that is a pretty legitimate boast. Conway is small, just off Interstate 5 south of Mount Vernon, about halfway between Seattle and the Canadian border. I think that this is the only restaurant in town (pop. 90 +/-), but a real asset. They bill themselves as a "biker bar", but it is not ruff & tuff. My wife had the fried oyster basket substituting onion rings for fries and i had the Captain's Plate, an enormous combination of fish filet, butterflied shrimp, popcorn shrimp, clam strips, fries, onion rings, and, of course, a couple fried oysters. Not gourmet, but definitely delicious. We traded some of my shrimp for several of her fried oysters. Jennifer was our waitress and could not have been better, enjoyed a short chat with the owner. We will definitely be back when in the area.

  • *****

A "real" bar & cafe! Such a delight to find. The staff is welcoming & efficient; especially Jennifer who served us tonite. The menu is far reaching but the seafood demands the most attention. Very pleased with the fried oysters, their "specialty". The breaded seafood (shrimp, clams, fish) was well seasoned & not greasy. Would return again when in the area. We were here for the band playing so would like to suggest abit more floor space available to dance when a live band is scheduled.

  • *****

Outdoor seating on a nice day. Oysters were fabulous and the beer cold!

  • *****

My visits are typically late lunch/early dinner hours. The food has been consistently good, and the staff is friendly. The restaurant has a neighborhood dive feel, but in a good way. The beer on tap is very cold, which makes for an excellent drink.

  • *****

    We love the BBQ Oysters!
We are from ND and sure look forward to having some when we come out to WA !

  • *****

Great food. Recommend the Rueben sandwich and the Onion Rings are really crispy. Yummy.

  • *****

Love this place! Fun staff and good food.

  • *****

fantastic, my son and I had a great lunch together ,rate no 1

  • *****

Great oysters. Great beer. Great service

  • *****

You should really stop by and have at least one drink. I would try the SOFIE. Named after the best bartender ever. The food is always great with a friendly atmosphere.

  • *****

Great working class bar for soaking up the local vibes.

  • *****

Conway has a quaint downtown with old buildings and the renowned Conway Muse music venue, and hiding in the bottom of the American Legion hall is the Conway Pub. A friend and I thought it looked like a fun little dive bar and...it is a fun little dive bar. Lots of table seating and TVs for sports. It looked like a place that would have good food but we just stopped in for a drink. Next time we're gallivanting around Skagit County we'll definitely stop back in and try something from the menu.

  • *****

Greats music, food and service. Will be going back. Wonderful warm atmosphere.

  • *****

great, mac and jacks and burgers my type of thing. stuck in santa barbara dan, no phone for two months dtman911266@yahoo.com..

  • *****

We love this place and always try to stop on our way to the San Juans. The food is great! - freshest veggies, oysters cooked to perfection, club sandwich bread doesn't fall apart - we never have a bad experience. As soon as you walk in, the staff is super friendly - rubs off on the customers! The owner was attentive and interested in our dining experience - great guy. Parking can be difficult sometimes but no big deal! :)

  • *****

Been coming here since I was a kid. Only come about once a year now but the place hasn't changed much. Good food.
Got a bacon cheeseburger that was very good and fries. Grew up getting the chicken strips which were always good. My dad always swore by the oyster shooters but I personally never have tried them (yet anyway).
Will return when I am back up this way.

  • *****

Its a dive. It your looking for a dive bar in the area with good food and good prices and ALOT of local flavor this is the place to go.

  • *****

the 2nd best bacon cheese burgers in skagit valley -famous for their oysters which i hate on general principles- good fish n chips, great tartar sauce, fun dive bar/eatery - outdoor seating, popular with the buell and harley set, funny gals serving suds and booze, lotsa loca flavor- love this place, we usually stop for lunch when heading down to a seattle mariners or sounders game

  • *****

Oh my, oyster lovers delight. We have been there but 3 times and are new to the area but there is nothing like it for oysters the 3 ways we order them, shooters, BBQ'ed (summer on patio), and pan fried. All three are winners and with ice cold MAc and Jack. Pure heaven. Highly recommended

  • *****

I LOVE THIS PLACE ! I love it so much that I had my rehearsal dinner here prior to my wedding.

If you avoid the biker season or sundays in general you don't have to deal with the stupid behavior described below.

This place is loved by locals - especially 20 somethings on Friday and Saturday nights. They have wonderful karaoke. Their staff is top notch and very hard working. I dont' know where the eating peanuts and dropping shells on the floor remark came from - I can't recall any peanuts in the millions of times I have been here.

  • *****

They have excellent bar food! Fun for people watching since it's a total dive. We always had fun here...

  • *****

The Conway! Yes! Delicious burgers and cheap beer, I mean really can it get any better? I and my family have been going here for years. I cant wait to go on a Saturday ngiht with the boyfriend and have him do karaoke cause he can sing and will rock this place. The blue cheese and onion mushroom swiss burgers are too good. This is a total hole in the wall but that is half the fun and the jukebox has great tunes. Check this place out!

  • *****

The best oyster shooters anywhere!!! I get up there whenever I can even though its an hour north of me. The burgers are the best in my recent memory.

  • *****

FINALLY! I was really starting to think I'd never find some good fried oysters here in the area but I finally did...at this place! They were awesome!! Sooooo much better than the ones at Leatherheads Pub in Stanwood (see my review of that place to see what I mean).

The Pub is "interesting". It's in some old building on the first level. There is some gravel type of outdoor eating area. Huge indoor eating area. The service was really quick and fast for the amount of people that were there. The customers are a mix of city slickers, bikers, local yokals, tourists etc. Don't go there if you are picky about the ambiance. If you are looking for damn good food you'll love it.

The fried oysters had a great flavor and "snap" to them. NOT mushy at all. The texture was a "crumbly" fry texture and not the smooth tempura fried texture I'm used to seeing in CA and NV but it was good anyways. The coleslaw was so-so and the fries were good.

The burgers looked thick, juicy and pink and yummy and I was really torn between getting a burger but the oysters won. At 12.99 you CAN'T go wrong with the fried oysters here.

I'll be back to try the burgers.
THEY HAVE ALASKA AMBER ON TAP TOO!!!!!!!!!!!

  • *****

This place was pretty good! We randomly found it and Id go back again if im ever in the area. The food is a bit too greasy for me but the burger was excellent. It has a typical bar feel to it. The servers were very nice. We sat in the restaurant part with our 2 kids and other people had kids there. My toddler enjoyed the fries.

  • *****

loved the bleu cheese burger . my brother says they have the best in the world. and hes been to all 50 states and out of the country. so we met for lunch here. Service was good. and the curly fries and the sweet potatoe fries were shweeet. Had a good memory with my bro and well be back to try the mushroom burger.

  • *****

Great pub food, great karaoke, great people watching, great place. I have spent many an evening with friends both local and those from abroad in this place, and it never disappoints. Staff is generally pretty on top of things, keeping your drinks refilled with the quickness, and checking to be sure your group is satisfied.

Bathrooms look a little scary, but they're clean, I promise. They have a great outdoor patio area for the smokers too, or warm summer evenings.

If you head into town for the Tulip Festival, stop here and try the Bleu cheese burger. YUM!

  • *****

Hey a great gathering place for Bikers on a hot summer afternoon after a ride on the scooter. Harley that is. Cold beer, great wait staff, music and dancing, Good food not off the charts but the service was quick even as busy as it was. One of my favorite stop and sips.

  • *****

I guess they are famous for their oysters so of course I had their oyster sandwich, messy and yummy. On my second stop recently on one rainy afternoon I enjoyed their bacon burger and fries. It was big enough to split with a friend, darn good. It is definitely a man hangout. The afternoon I was there we sat near a big table of cute older farmer type men yapping about their wives. It was fairly hilarious, still makes me smile. It's as non fancy as a bar could get but adds to the charm of the place. Great service.

  • *****

It doesn't get any better. Remember in Peewee's big adventure where he ends up in a biker bar and he dances on the table when the bikers are going to kick his ass. Well this looks like it could be the bar. But wait it gets better. Bikers really do hang out here, and so do the the cowboys, farmers and some city folk like me who have discovered this gem. Sundays are best win live rockabilly. Knut Bell lays it down every Sunday. Don't miss it on your next trip to the Skagit Valley.

  • *****

5 stars for a dive? Ya even though this is not a place for a Foodie! Beers are cold as is the Nice big Screen! good seating is very limited.

  • *****

Great BBQ oysters; I believe only served during the summer season. Although busy, wait staff still did well. Mostly street parking.

  • *****

What a shocking surprise. Poor planning on our part when we thought we would just head north this past sunny Sunday and check out the tulips about 1pm.
Idiots...we had the same bright idea as 50,000 other people and got caught in bumper to bumper.
Even though we had reservations to take the bf's mom out to a lovely lunch in La Conner, we bailed, got off the freeway about an hour later than we should have and rolled into the Conway Pub & Eatery.
Now, we were definitely the odd man out, considering there were about 200 biker enthusiasts there taking up nearly every table, stool, patio chair in sight.
We get a table in pretty short order, considering.
I have to say, I wasn't expecting much. So many people, a pub out in the middle of nowhere...
But that's when I was blown away.
Natalie, our server, was attentive even though she was clearly in the weeds. Apologetic when she thought it was taking her too long, but I thought she was right on track.
The owner, Justin, came by to check in on us.
The bloody mary's were on sale and delicious.
The chicken cordon blue sandwich was delicious. Every burger was cooked to perfection and almost too much for one human to eat in one sitting.
We are so happy with our unexpected find that we plan on making it our meet in the middle spot with Bellingham family members.

Thank you to Natalie for being so friendly. We will look for her every time.

  • *****

We stopped by for a burger and an oyster salad. Totally satisfying food served by tattooed ladies who you wish loved you in a past lifetime. Go here.

  • *****

Finally made it back to this great little place on a sunny day for the awesome bbq'd oysters and a cold beer . Natalie was our attentive and friendly server; sat outside, in a non descript and casual atmosphere...perfect! Just enough music, decent volume. But those oysters and a side of garlic bread - yum!

  • *****

I miss you guys just at some oysters here in Virginia and well after having the best from you all I my taste buds are ruined. Now I can never eat pan fried oysters again. I wish I could have a dozen right now how I miss the best oysters west of the Mississippi, Maybe the best East Mississippi not finding much in the way of oysters out here.

Miss the atmosphere the nice staff you all need to open one out here in VA.

  • *****

We love Conway Pub. It's our Go To for taking out of town guests. Best Pan Fried Oysters! Great Burgers. Good drinks. Friendly & efficient staff. All that, plus pull tabs, Trivia Thursdays & Karaoke Fridays. And family-friendly, even! Not for snooty folks...which is why we love it. Highly recommend.

  • *****

Great food great service its always good chili burgers are awesome. Great clam chowder Fish and Chips a stay away from me otherwise it is a five star pub

  • *****

This place is all about the Sunday night rockabilly blaring solid and sweet from the live band Knut Bell - they totally kick ass and make my boots wanna stomp and my booty wanna shake! I'd drive up to Conway just for these guys any week (and I did tonight with Shawn J.).

The other customers are great, funny, friendly and crazy silly drunks. Freaking rockabilly and a half! You got the hicks, the blue collars, the farmer gals an boys, and some sneaky city folks trying to sneak away for a guilty rockabilly pleasure. Like me. I like this hick music, who am I kidding - I'm a redneck girl deep down.

I'd give 1 star less for the dang pub food - my being a healthy all organic eater and all. The food is ok, but I've had much better pub food elsewhere - even if it's not organic. We got the nachos and halibut and chips. The halibut and chips came out first, hot and fresh, with tartar, and tasted good. I'd say it was a speck on the dry side, but it was good enough. I did like the fries and the tartar was perfect. The nachos left me wanting - the salsa wasn't fresh (from a bottle), there was no guacamole and the olives and jalepenos were canned. The chicken was chalky/dry and the cheese was only on the top, not distributed (that distribution is the secret to good nachos in my book).

The service was great. Our waitress was slammed, she was the only one eroding the floor and paid perfect attention to us, making ire we got everything we needed. He smiled and meant it, had a friendly dimeanor, and seemed to like her job! A bonus.

I really had a blast dancing with my man, Shawn, too!!! Can't wait to come back soon.

  • *****

    Great hamburger and apps!

For a Friday night stop over it was great! Easy to get to as its on the way to La Conner for us.

Busy inside but food and service was very decent! Good solid bar/pub food for sure. Good prices too to boot.

The bartender was really cute as I'm sure she knows. Busy place and it's been here for years... That tells you they keep quality and prices for the locals in check.

So check it out. This was my first time and most likely a stop for sure from now on.

  • *****

Love the barbequed oysters!!!!! We were told to go here for the fried oyster, but I think the barbequed ones were better! They serve the barbequed ones only on Saturday and Sunday...so plan to go then.
Service was great! Lacy was a doll....loved the atmosphere....it's kind of a biker bar and everyone was soooo nice!. My friend had the halibut and chips...with fries...also good.
Loved the place..would love to go back next weekend.

  • *****

    Yes please!
Super fun staff, GREAT selection of Oysters.

  • *****

Been here a few times. Typical small town bar with a powerful food menu. My wife always gets the oyster basket and never complains. I have ordered the Philly and like my wife, never complain. Plenty of food and the service family friendly. One of the finer bar eatery's.

  • *****

This place is great! Excellent prompt service with a smile - gals greet you the minute you walk in the door and they are always cordial and happy to serve. Food is great - we do ask them to hold the salt as they have a little heavy tilt on that shaker. Other than that - great burgers and fries. My husband LOVES the oyster shooters. Beer is quality! This is just a fun place to go and eat. They were flexible with our requests - always found the chef willing to put together a request if he had the ingredients. Nice clean environment - it's a pub! They did have the ladies room out of order last we visited. NO excuse for that - get it fixed ASAP. It created a line on the single "Men's room." Thanks for sharing guys!

  • *****

Always friendly and a great burger every time!

  • *****

Our favorite place in the area. Feels like a hometown hangout even if you're not from the area.

  • *****

Conway pub is always one of my favorite stops on group rides heading up through North Puget Sound.

Just west of I-5 off Hwy 534 in the little hamlet of Conway, The pub offers great service and great food at reasonable prices. Their specialty is fried oysters. Plenty of seating both inside, as well as outside of those warmer sunny days.

Parking, especially on weekends can be very tough with the amount of tourists and bikers visiting the area.

Just a great little place to meet and eat.

  • *****

They rock! Took my baby there for Valentine's Day. There was good food and drinks and great people. The owner had roses for all the women in the place. Bravo!

  • *****

Oyster Lovers Unite! This place was recommended to us by one of the locals and you can understand why! This is just one of those laid back, casual places where you can expect to see anyone from a group of Hell's Angels, fraternity guys, geeks from Microsoft, your grandmas knitting circle or Sam Elliot when you walk through the door.

There were a bunch of bar flies when we walked in - defiantly locals. There's a seasonal beer garden and dining area which is a large open space. I'm sure this would be a fun spot to hang out on a weekend. The energy is fun, the staff are very cool and there is an open area which appears when the place gets going has seen some great dance moves!

They make a pretty darn good hamburger and seem to have an endless number of recipes on how to prepare oysters. We just happened to stumble in during 2 for 1 oyster shooter Friday ... I don't know where they are getting their oysters by these suckers are HUGE! I've been to oyster bars which were proud to brag about their oysters which were 1/2 the size that were served here. These suckers filled a standard shot glass on their own w/out having any cocktail sauce.

I also tried their fried oysters and fries which were outstanding. Hubby had a blue cheese burger with a salad which he really enjoyed.

The service was very friendly and laid back. They knew the menu and were great at suggesting items. This place has a good thing going on! We'll be back!

  • *****

Always the best: service, food, atmosphere! A true neighborhood pub-loud sometimes, sometimes intimate, always your friends and neighbors.

  • *****

Awesome environment, great food, and great staff. Food and beverages are expensive.

  • *****

Love this place! Great people and some of the best oysters (and other offerings) around! It's a must do if you're anywhere in the neighborhood.

  • *****

We were told by some friends from Everett that the burgers were excellent (and they were right!). So last Sunday, we decided to try them out. We got there and there were lots of bikers (not a bad thing), and lots of people, (families included). There was a lot of outdoor seating, but it was a nice day and lunchtime so it was packed- we ended up eating inside. They have a HUGE TV and a few other big ones in the main dining area.

My boyfriend and I both ordered the Mushroom Bacon Cheeseburger and they were perfect (and GIANT). The burger was so stacked that I couldn't put my mouth around it without super squishing it down (I'm definitely not complaining about that though!)- perfectly cooked and seasoned. The only sub-par things we found (which is why I gave 4 stars instead of 5) was that the Bloody Marys lacked some "oopmf" (they needed more booze) and there was one, tiny bathroom that seemed to always be occupied. Regardless of those two hiccups, we'll definitely be going back!

Hands down, the best pan fried Oysters in the area. This includes Seattle and the surrounding areas. In the summer, they have a garden area for BBQ Oysters which are also great. Nice people, casual and a great experience. Well worth the easy drive

The best corned beef and hash! Not that canned crap - this is slow cooked with homemade taste.

    Restored Faith In Humanity
A bunch of us were there 3/5/11. We were farrying between the Muse and your place. While at the Conway Pub, I had gone out for a smoke. Unbeknownst to me, I realized Sun. morning I had misplaced my wallet. My mate and I decided to drive back up to just double check to see if it had been turned in. After asking the barkeep about it, he said just a phone had been turned in. And then the cook appeared, reached down below the cash register and held up my wallet, asking, "Is this the one"? I was shocked and so elated! I gave him a big ole hug, bought a couple of rounds for the patrons that were there, and we sat and had ourselves some refreshments. The tag taped to my wallet said it been foud outside 3-5. It was signed by Brian? Hard to make out the writing. I just want to thank whoever that was. It realy made the day and I cannot thank them enough. We will be back and soon!

    Yum
Best oysters in washington! This eatery is awesome and they have some of the finest brews. Be prepared to sit a while as they are always busy. The mushroom burger is to die for, I always get that. Service is good and the crowd is noisey! Love it!

    Great grub!
Conway Pub makes the yummiest burgers and fries. While it is a pub, it is a family friendly environment which I appreciate with two little ones. Conway Pub also offers take out which is great for us too. Prices are reasonable and the food is so good!! You won't be disappointed!

The locals say it is the BEST
Locals from Stanwood to Bellingham say it is one of the best places to eat. We take the out of town company there. The food is execllent and it is a real hit with them.

Great Food and Drink Justin and crew are great. The food and drink are well priced. The best part of the restaurant is the Bryan Harrison memorial toilet where you can take a leak on this schizophrenic egomaniac

My husband and I went for dinner and he had the Justin Burger and loved it. I had the crispy chicken w/bacon sandwich and loved it. Fries were good too. We also ordered pickles to start off with, but they never made it to our table and glad to see that they were not charged either! All in all, we would go back for the burgers.

Been here a few times over the years. Always got the pan fried oysters and Old Tom (Beer). Always good, service has always been good to. Always a mixed crowd.
But never knew nor had their BBQ'd oysters they do in the summer months until a co-worker recommended them.
Oh man! They were good and as it was an overcast day in the 70's, it was perfect sitting outside. And the service was great to.
Just remember BBQ'd oysters are only Sat/Sun during the summer. And they're first come first serve till they're out.

Good place to hang out for a bit. The food is fine, and the drinks are heavy (that is a good thing). The people are super-friendly. This isn't a destination, but if you are ever looking for some comfortable food and drinks on your way north, this is a great place to stop.

    Tried the "western burger"

The burger consisted of a juicy hamburger patty, fresh onion, tomato, dill pickles, swiss cheese, lettuce, bbq sauce. Great choice and was not disappointed!

Excellent tartar sauce and perfect fries. Our server was very nice and fast.

The music was up pretty loud, but if you can get past that, you will enjoy the food and dive-bar atmosphere.

Really good Gluten free hamburgers, need I say more!!Great place to watch Seahawks and gather with friends. All their food is awesome and comes in big portions. Alcohol reasonably priced and they have excellent service. Can't ask for more with a neighborhood pub.

Divey biker bar. The perfect balance of divey and fresh bar food. The oyster shooters will blow your mind. They come from right down the road in Skagit bay. This is where the locals go. I loved the outdoor decorum. Very cute and inviting. The inside has a little bit of a diner feel with a lot of booth seating. I liked the bar. Nice and cozy little spot. The locals are very friendly and it was nice striking up a few conversations with people. Most of the bartenders grew up in the area.
I ordered a cheese burger and curly fries. A friend once told me the best hamburger he ever had was from the Conway. I had to try this legendary burger. I have to admit I did agree and now will tell others. "One of the best burgers I ever had was at the Conway Pub and Eatery." I hope to be back again on my next trip to Washington.

Conway pub is a great place for big hungry groups. I've had there burgers pan fried oysters (yum) I've not been disappointed in there food the service is usually on point and prompt. It is a dive bar but I think it adds to the appeal. I reco.end this place often to friends for a good burger and a drink. Or some oysters wether you have shooters they fired up the bbq or pan fried. They are all good.

Great food and pub atmosphere. Ordered the nachos and chili, and wow, you'd better be hungry. The plate is huge, but everything is fresh and delicious. Its enough for two people as a main dish or 4 to 6 as an appetizer. The blue burger with sweet potato fries was superb as well. An excellent, spicy mayo spread on the bun with juicy beef burger and blue cheese mixture on top - the best. Fries were a little greasy, but, hey, this is a pub. I ordered extra spicy mayo as a dip for the fries and it was perfect.
Wait staff is always friendly and efficient.
On Sundays they have karaoke, which sounds fun. This is a great pub with good food and good staff. A destination!

This place is a DIVE - I was a little startled when I walked in from the scenic main street of Conway into the bar but I should've known.

Bartender was awesome - friendly, made sure we were never thirty. Good selection of beers.

Got an oyster shooter which was HUGE!!! Also tried the BBQ'd Oysters. It was $16 for 10 oysters. They were huge & delicious - buttery, garlickly, spicy. It was perfect. 5 each was our dinner - we were stuffed!

I will def stop through again for oysters.

OK. Conway, WA is a "census designated place" (it's not even a village or a town?!?) with a population of 91 according to 2010 census. It's off I-5 on the way to LaConnor on Fir Island Road.

The Pub must be the only pub, or a restaurant, here. Other buildings are "antique" shops and who knows what on only two, three streets which are two blocks long.

Now, it is a dive bar. Other reviews say a biker bar. But, on our stop on a rainy, gusty November Sunday, there were no bikers to be found. But, yes, it is a dive. But a friendly, classic American bar/restaurant. The bar was full and the restaurant, we were there around 3 PM, was about third occupied. (They were expecting a large crowd to descend for the Seahawks game that night).

We were greeted with friendly waitress. Told to choose an available table and waited on quickly. Since we were new, we had some questions which were answered in detail and with patience. All with lots of smiles.

We ordered Fried Oyster Basket (my head shrinker's recommendation -- long story). And, boy, were they good! It is one of the best I have ever tasted and I have traveled through several countries in Asia and similar number in Europe. And, also, most states in the US (yes, I'm "older"). I cannot emphasized enough that the oysters were of quality and fresh, fried well -- well breaded and not at all oily. Our first basket we got with onion rings. Onion rings were also well breaded, crispy and wonderful taste. We enjoyed the first basket so much that we ordered a second (it was 3 PM and we had a good, but late breakfast) though we were not overly hungry. But, we wanted more! The second basket was with French fries. Not extraordinary as onion rings, but quite good.

Just great food in a very friendly atmosphere. A term "hidden gem" is sometimes over used. But this restaurant/pub is a hidden gem, indeed. It has to be well conveyed word of mouth that brings people to this establishment. They certainly do not have the local population (in the "census designated place" or 10 mile radius to support it's business) to support it. But, I understand that they have been around for 30+ years.
